Mark took the art and science of beekeeping, and rolled it into an informative, interesting, but easy to understand bundle for the bee enthusiast. I attended the introduction to beekeeping but it was quickly evident through asking a lot of 'why does this happen?' style questions, that his knowledge an expertise runs as deep as his 30+ years of beekeeping experience. The content of the course was chosen carefully and laid out across the day in an easily digestible format. There's no better way to pass down knowledge than through the art of story telling, and Mark cleverly weaved his tales throughout the day's content, keeping an easily distracted student focussed. In this day in age, whilst we can find anything on the internet, there's something special about learning through hands on experience and anecdotes, and Mark nailed this. The homestyle morning tea and lunch, complete with freshly made (obviously with a stack of love) tomato relish and jaboticaba jam, was delicious. Capping the day off we got hands on with the bees and equipment, using some tools, pressed our own comb, and even used the wax to make some furniture polish. I had an unreal day, learned a stack of new facts about bees, felt very welcome and valued as a newbie to the world of bees, and can't wait for the next one. Thanks heaps Mark and Ali, what a great addition to the Sunshine Coast beekeeping fraternity. Scotty F.
Great course, I really enjoyed the day all round. Before I got there I had a bunch of questions going on in my head and by the end of the day they had all been answered. Mark sure knows his stuff.
Getting some hands on experience of making the frames and inspecting the hives was just what I needed to satisfy myself that I could do it. I now feel confident enough to start my own journey with the bees. I will be buying some hive equipment this week and look forward to starting a colony. I am excited!

After booking an introduction to beekeeping course with Mark, I found Mark to have considerable knowledge of Bee's. He delivered the course in a very informative way ensuring someone like myself who knows very little about bees is educated. I finished the course with a huge understanding of bee's.
I would recommend Mark's Course as he delivered on all aspects of the course. Also I would like to thank Alison for our Morning Tea & Homemade Lunch which was another highlight on the day.
Cheers

It was also a pleasure to meet Marks partner Alison and enjoy a relaxing and delicious morning tea and lunch with them both, it is an all inclusive price which makes it exceptional value for money”
